BURGLARY CHARGES OFFENCES AT HAMILTON FARM HAND FOR SENTENCE [from our own coiiiiksfondent] HAMILTON, Friday Seven charges, including three of breaking and entering and theft, were preferred against Alton William Movie, aged 22, farnv labourer, before Messrs C. K. Alexander and F. Findlav, J.P.'s, in the Polico Court to-day. Detective J. Hayes conducted the caso for the police. It was alleged that Movie broke and entered the counting houso of James John Walker, at Hamilton, and stole £3 7s on or about February 25; the shop of George Owen, at Tamahere, and stolo goods, stamps, a cash box and £3 in money, of a total value of £7 10s on February 27; the shop of Ronald Hamilton Proudlock, at Hamilton, and stole goods and Is 6d in money of a total value of £3 lis 6d, on February 24; and the counting house of Ebbett Motors, Limited, with intent to commit a crime. Accused was also charged with committing mischief by damaging n telephono call box to the oxtent of £1 and of stealing 2s, the property of the Post and Telegraph Department and three gallons of petrol, valued at 6s 6d, the property of George Owen. Detective Hayes said lie interviewed accused on March 8 and ho freely admitted that he had been associated in breaking and entering premises at Hamilton. In a statement Mavlc said that lie was associated with three other men in committing the burglaries. On tho four indictable charges Moyle pleaded guilty and was committed to tho Supreme Court at Auckland for sentonco. It was stated that accused, in company with another man, forced a telephone call box and stole 2s in pennies and, on this and on the charge of stealing the petrol, he was convicted and discharged.
