GREAT BRITAIN AND EIRE

Sir, —Your correspondent Mr. G, W. Blair failed to give British justice to ~ir. do Valera when ho accused him of inability "to grasp tho inner significance of the results of the elections in Ulster." There were 110 elections in Ulster as three of its nine counties were deliberately handed over to Eire, for tho people of Ulster, if given tho opportunity, would emphatically declare for Irish unity. In the six counties of Northern Ireland tho Orange dictators have repealed proportional representation and have jerrymandered tho electorates so that 420,000 voters can send only II members to Parliament, while 8;35,000 can send 41. Ireland is a nation and until England censes to pamper one-fifth of the population of Scotch descent there can bo 110 harmony between England and Eire.
