STRONG EARTH TREMOK
SHAKE AT WHAKATANE NO DAMAGE REPORTED [BV TELEGRAI'U —OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHAKATANE, Thursday A heavy earth tremor, lasting about a second, was felt in Wh'akatane this morning, shortly after nine o clock. It was followed by lighter shakes some minutes later. ' No damage was reported. The tremor is considered to have been the strongest felt for some years.
