UNIVERSITY PLAY

DRAMA CLUB PRESENTATION A successful presentation of Oscar Wilde's three-act play "The Importance of Being Earnest," was given by the Drama Club of the Auckland University College in the College Hall last night before a crowded audience of students and others. The play gave much scope for ability in acting humorous roles, all of which were well performed. The portrayals of John Worthing, by Mr. B. Heerdegen, of Algernon Moncrieff by Mr. D. Clouston, and of Lady Bracknell by Miss J. Grevatt, reached a high standard which was maintained by the performances of the minor parts.
