SHAREBROKER'S DEATH
CAR FOUND IN QUARRY [iiY TELEGRAPH —rRESS ASSOCIATION'] CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday The Mayor of Sumner, Mr. Thomas Newburgh, who was a member of the Christchurch Stock Exchange, was found dead in his motor-car in a quarry on tho road between Marble Point and Hanmer Springs, about noon today. A length of tubing led from tho exhaust pipe into the car through a rear window. The both" was taken to the Culrerden Hotel and" an inquest was opened later by the coroner, Mr. H. A. Young, S.M. Evidence of identification was given by the son, Ralph Leslie Xewburgh, and tho inquest was adjourned sine die. It will bo concluded in Christchurch.
