TRANSPORT FOR CHILDREN [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday

All available space-has been booked for the annual Waikato Winter Show, which will open for a season of eight clays and eight nights at Hamilton on Wednesday, June 1. The official opening is to be performed by the GovernorCileneral, Viscount Gal.vay. The secretary, Mr. W. H. Paul, said to-day that a special effort was to bo made by the association this year to bring all country children to the show, a:ad arrangements were being made with t'lie Railway Department for a (series of soecial trains to trannport them to Hamilton from all parts, of the province. The educational value of the show has been repeatedly stressed by authorities and, with children admitted free on special days, the association is anxious that as many as possible should avail themselves of the opportunities that are offered.

One of the many features of the exhibition this year will bo a comprehensive display arranged by tho Department of Agriculture, and it is expected that this will prove of value to the thousands of farmers who annually visit the show. The special display of bacon pigs has been extended, and is likely to be a centre of considerable interest. The rapid approach of tho show is heralded by the issue of Tho Call, the official organ of the association, in which details are given of the new attractions and the hundreds of competitive classes iri which entries may be made. Practically every phase of New Zealand productions, interests and arts is ?eprescnted.
