The theft was not discovered until the staff arrived at work this morning, when they found the back door of the premises open and the safe lying in the passage which runs fr<im the back door to the shop, the office opening into it. The cashbox was missing from the safe, but it was subsequently found upstairs, where the thieves opened it with a meat chopper found on the premises. There were no marks to show how the thieves entered.
