Friday A comprehensive programme of trainee has been carried out during the past week by the Ist Field Ambulance, Auckland, which has been under canvas at Hopuhopu since last Saturday and ■which is scheduled to return to Auckland to-morrow. The unit, which comprises six officers and 18 or other ranks, is under the command of LieutenantColonel H. S. Kenrick. He is assisted by Major A. L. de B. Noakes, Lieutenant J. A. Worsnop, N.Z.5.0., Lieutenant T. de Clive Lowe, Lieutenant S. C. de Give Lowe, Lieutenant F. 0. M. Shortt and Lieutenant 6. B. Palmer, all of the New Zealand Medical Corps. Physical training, infantry drill, ;water drill, stretcher drill, gas drill, camp sanitation, the preparation of an operating tent, collection of the wounded and their transport by waggon, rail and water* are but a few of the operations which have been practised during the camp course. ; A feature of the camp was the tactical operations carried out yesterday, when the main dressing station was rapidly removed from Hopuhopu during a retirement and re-established further back. , , . «?
