£50,000 BRITISH SCHEME (Received March 10, 7.30 p.m.) British Wireless RUGBY, March 9 A vote of £4OOO for expenditure incurred in the resettlement of 9000 Assyrians in Khabur, Northern Syria, was included in the supplementary estimates discussed and approved in the House of Commons. The Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs explained that the money was for preliminary expenses in connection with the irrigation and preparation of the settlement.
