BLACKBALL TO COMMENCE [BY TELEGRAPH —r-PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHT7RCH, Thursday The Blackball Creek dredge, formerly known as Brian Born, which was removed to the' Blackball Creek, is now completed, and a trial run yesterday proved most satisfactory. The dredge will commence full operations on Monday, working two shifts daily.
The Brian Born Gold Dredging Company (Greymouth) went into liquidation last year. The dredge was sold to a syndicate for £6500 and was moved to an area near the Ar£o claim at Blackball Creek in June. > YIELDS OF COMPANIES Z;' Mossy Creek (West Coast)2oois. 9dwt for 127 hours and 8700 yards. Blackwater (Reefton). —Return for February: Crushed 2921' tons, yielding 1169 fine ounces gold, value, at £6 19s 6d a, fine ounce. £8155. Working expenses were £6405. leaving a working profit of £1750. Capital expenditure was £2890. and development expenses £•502.
