March 2 The Gardone correspondent of the Times says that after Mussolini and other notables had seen D'Annunzio's body, the crowd filed past tho catafalque. The body will be placed to-morrow in a plain wooden coffin and carried on a gun-carriage to the church in Upper Gardone. It will be brought back after the service and placed on a portion of the battle-cruiser Puglia, which D'Annunzio erected in his garden, remaining there throughout the night while bonfires burn on the surrounding hills. The Fiume Temple will be the scene of the funeral on March 4.
