DIRECTOR IN BRITAIN ILLNESS ANNOUNCED A REORGANISATION SCHEME (Received March 2, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 2 The Daily Mail says it learns that Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Francis Sbelmerdine, Director of Civil Aviation, Air Ministry, has had a nervous breakdown and at present is on extended sick leave. He intends to go abroad. It is understood that the Cadman Committee suggests the wholesale reorganisation of the departments which deal with civil aviation and the appointment of an Under-Secretary of State ■for Civil Aviation.
