A. tyoiiß, stated to-day that New Zealand will make concessions in the importation of citrus fruit from Australia, aud has agreed to withdraw her demands for a relaxation of the Australian restrictions on the importation of New Zealand potatoes. If Australian citrus fruits are offered at the right prices the new arrangements should open the way for the importation of greater quantities. Protective measures, however, will still be enforced against the importation, of fruit from fly-infested areas. Mr. Lyons pointed out that the potato question had presented difficulties. The upshot was that the New Zealand Government had agreed to accept the position and to withdraw v ixs request for a relaxation of the , restrictions.
