YOUNG FARMERS' CLUBS

EXPANSION OF MOVEMENT NORTH AUCKLAND ACTIVITY [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] DARGAVILLE, Tuesday The possibilities of expansion of the young farmers' club movement throughout Noith Auckland are being surveyed by the Dominion president of the organisation. Mr. W. F. McLean, and the organising secretary, Mr. S. Freeman, who are visiting the north. In company with the fields instructor for the Department of Agriculture at Whangarei, Mr. E. B. Granville, and the fields inspector at Dargaville, Mr. E. H. Arnold, the officials visited Marohemo last evening and addressed members of the club there, later returning to Dargaville. Only three clubs exist, in North Auckland at present, these being at Marohemo, Kaitaia and Broadwood, but the officials consider there is ample room for expansion, and clubs are to be formed throughout North Auckland as soon as the necessary groundwork has been completed.
