Banks remained firm, with Now Zcalands mosi active, several parcels changing hands at la to lates. lnquii} ju the section covered a wider range, with offers generally firm. Insurance had g<»"d support. Breweries, which hare recently experienced a dull period, attracted more attention. Both New Zealands and Dominions changed hands at an advance of 3d. Further supplies of Dominions were sought fit the samo price. Australian industrials wcro inclined to be easier. Electrolytic Zinc lost further ground, and wcro dealt in Is below business last week. Chain stores were again the most active group. Woolworths issues were all in demand, the Sydney company's shares recovering the ground lost 011 the previous day. (j. J. Coles also improved. Among Xeyv Zealand industrials, both Wilsons Cements and New Zealand Newspapers gave way.
