BODY CONTRACTS Advice that the Auckland ElectricPower Board was contemplating having legislation passed to validate the action of local bodies in making contracts for community lighting schemes was received by the Otahuhu Borough Council. The board stated that doubts had been expressed as to the authority of local bodies to make such contracts. The town clerk, Mr. R. W. F. Wood, said the council's position was not, in bis opinion, in doubt as all the community lights in Otahuhu were on the streets. The letter was received.
