OVERCOAT STOLEN
TAKEN FROM PARKED CAR PRISON TERM FOR COOK Charged with the theft of a leather overcoat, valued at £2 10s, and 7s, the property of Lawrence Samuel James Bossiter, on February 12, William Knox, a cook, Aged 6b (Mr. Noble), pleaded guilty when he appeared in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. Sub-Inspector Fox said that accused took the coat from a parked cur and was seen wearing it by the owner the following day. "It Was unfortunate for accused that there was motley in the coat," said Mr. Noble, "because he was found lying in a vacant section the following day, surrounded by empty beer bottles; A sentence of three months' imprisonment was imposed.
