THE PRIME MINISTER

TWO DAYS IN AUCKLAND The Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, accompanied by members bf his staff, arrived from the South by train yesterday morning. He was met by the Mayor of Auckland. Sir Ernest Davis, the Hon. F. E. Lark, M.L.C., and members of the executive of the Labour Representation Committee. Mr. Savage attended the civic welcome to the Apostolic Delegate, the Most Rev. J. Panico, and received a number of callers in the afternoon. He also visited the Wilson Home for Crippled Children, and was present at the Catholic reception to prelates assembled in Auckland for the Catholic Centenary celebrations, in the Town Hall last night. Sir. Savage, who is at the Hotel Cargen, will receive to-day callers for whom appointments have been arranged and will leave for the South by train to-night. - •
