SAWMILL DESTROYED

WORKSHOP ALSO BURNED REOPENING PLANS FRUSTRATED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAUMARUNUI, Saturday An outbreak of fire early this morning resulted in the destruction of the Pukuweka sawmill at Ngapuke. The fire was discovered between 12.30 and one o'clock, but nothing could be done. Workshops alongside the main building were also destroyed. The mill, which had been idle for years, wfts being put in readiness to commence work next month, and would have employed about 25 men. Details of the insurances are not available at present. It .is considered probable the mill will be rebuilt.
