UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT ARRANGEMENTS FOR EASTER About 200 university students will arrive in Auckland at Easter to take part in the New Zealand University tournament, which will be held in Auckland for the first time for five years. In addition to tho competitors another 200 supporters are expected. As the newly-rented university sports ground, Blandford Park, is not yet ready, the athletic meeting will be held on the Domain on Easter Monday afternoon. Tho tennis will commence at Stanley Street on the Saturday morning and will continue on Tuesday. Tho boxing finals will be held in the Town Hall on the Saturday evening, and the basketball will be held that afternoon at the Technical College. On Monday morning the rowing eights will race off the Tainaki Drive foreshore and an attractive swimming carnival has been arranged for the same evening. A full social programme has been arranged. The visitors will arrive on Good Friday morning and in tho afternoon they will be officially welcomed by the college authorities. The teams will leave on Wednesday afternoon, the day following the tournament ball.
