Thursday ||| Two hundred and twenty cadets jj|| from King's College, Auckland, are at>V present in camp at Hopuhopu for a six-day military training course. The*"', headmaster of the college, Maior J. N. * Peart, is in command. Assisting him are Major V. Max well, Captain A. H. Hunt, Captain V. J. Tnnes, of the New ; ..j Zealand Staff (?orps, Lieutenant H. B. Lusk, Mr. W. It. Laney and Mr.., 4; Greenbank, physical training officer. An inspection of the camp and th® , cadets on parade was made this morn* ing by Colonel 0. H. Mead, officer commanding the Northern Military; District. After watching the separate, units at work he carried out a paraae.if inspection, after "which he addressed' the cadets. Most branches of military training are being pursued at the camp, but pM>: ticular attention is being paid to tao« -j tical operations. Last night tho noil* V commissioned officers carried out night' operations, and on Friday a mock battle, with blank ammunition, will be £ conducted. . The camp will be disbanded on Saturday and the boys will return to Auckland by train in the morning.
