GERMAN^DECISION HIGH SPEED EFFORTS BIG FRENCH EXPENDITURE HUNGARY JOINING RACE By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Received February 23, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 22 A message from Berlin states that the Commander-in-Chief of the German Army, General von Brauchitsch, told foreign military attaches who were visiting the War Office that Germany was rearming 'at high speed. She would continue to rearm until she was in a position fully to defend her entire territory. A despatch from Paris states that the Council of Ministers has decided to seek further exceptional credits for national defence exceeding £21,000,000. The Budapest correspondent of the Evening News says it is reported that Hungary intends to denounce the Trianon Treaty, which limits the Army to 35,000 officers and men, and forbids the establishment of an Air Force. Bulgaria, the only other party to the Trianon Treaty, is observing the conditions of the Allies.
