GUILTY OF RECEIVING
YOUNG MAN SENTENCED Having been found guilty on two counts of knowingly receiving stolen suits of clothing, .James Davidson Ireland (Mr. Sullivan), was sentenced by Mr. Justice Fair in the Supremo Court yesterday. His Honor said that in 193G prisoner came before him on a charge of theft from a dwelling. He was admitted to probation for two years, and in loss than three months lie had committed 17 offences of breaking and entering and theft. It was a very sad thing to see a young man of 22 in such a position, but tho property of people must be protected. He would make the penalty as light as possible, and sentence him to three months' imprisonment on each of the two charges, the sentences to bo cumulative, making six months in all.
