PENDING APPOINTMENTS f 1 1 " MEETING OF COMMITTEE The chairman of the Auckland Hospital Board, the Kev. W. C. Wood, left for Wellington yesterday afternoon to attend a meeting of the select advisory committee to consider the appointment of heads of the divsions of surgery and medicine at the Auckland Hospital, two newly-created positions. The committee comprises Mr. Wood, Dr M. H. Watt, Director-General of Health, Professor C. E. Herctis, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Otago University, Sir Donald McGavin, representing' the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and Professor D. W. Carmalt Jones, representing the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Mr. Wood will return to Auckland by the limited express on Saturday morning.
