CAR ENGINE BACKFIRES
MOTORIST'S WRIST BROKEN [bt telegraph—OWN correspondent] WHANGAKEI, Wednesday When the engine of his motor-car backfired while he was cranking it this morning, Mr. C'live Palmer, of Mill Road, suffered a severe fracture and dislocation of his right wrist. He was admitted to the Whangarei Hospital.
