ARRIVAL AT WELLINGTON [BY TKLKKIIAPH—t'RKSS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Sunday Wellington was bathed in brilliant sunshine to-day after a dreary Saturday, when the French cruiser Jeanne d'Arc steamed into port from Sydney. There was not a ripple on the glassy surface of the wide harbour as, with her company at divisions, her baud playing on the upper deck, and her tricolour ensign at her stern, the cruiser moved slowly to her berth. It being Sunday the Jeanne <1 Arc arrived in silence, but at eight o clock to-morrow morning she will fire the customary salute of 21 guns, which will be replied to by the battery at Point Jcrninghani. The usual official calls will also be made to-morrow, after which Captain Auplian and bis senior officers will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph. Later they will be given a State luncheon. _ The Jeanne d'Arc will remain <jv Wellington until Friday, when she sans for Auckland.
