The president, Mrs. A. D. Campbell, presided and welcomed representatives from the Women's Institutes, Auckland Hospital district nurses and branches of the auxiliary In reporting on the work of the past year Mrs. Campbell said many gifts of toys were received at Christmas time and altogether 349 parcels were distributed to children whose parents were receiving help from the depot. The work of the sisters and nurses *at the hospital had been a great help to the auxiliary, and they had handed over 90 garments into the depot during January. Of these garments 30 were hand-knitted. In a letter from Sister Mulcock thanking the auxiliary members for their gifts to the patients in the shelters, the writer stated that with the donation -allowed her she had assisted 62 patients with Christmas cheer and in addition had given many orders for fruit or extra nourishment.
