MAYOR ISLAND CATCHES [by telegraph OWN correspondent] TAUKANGA, Thursday Excellent sport was enjoyed at the Mayor Island grounds by two Wellington fishermen, Messrs. R. Burn and 1 G. Hartley. Among their catches were: —Mr. Burn, swordfish of 4031b. and 3601b. Mr. Hartley, swordfish of 2501b., 3421b., 3501b., and 2901b. On six occasions the party hooked two fish simultaneously, but could not manage to land them at the same time although Mr. Hartley caught a swordfish simultaneously with Mr. Burn landing a shark*- The party went to Motiti on the return trip and landed 30 hapuka weighing up to 60lb.
