DOMINION CONFERENCE [by TELEGIUrn—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday The official opening of the Methodist Church annual Dominion conference took place this evening at the Taranaki Street Church. The Rev. F. Copeland presided. Thero was a full attendance of ministers and lay delegates from all parts of the Dominion. The Rev. Percy Paris, president for 1938, was introduced by the Rov. E. D. Patchett, Dr. 11. Ranston and Mr, R. S. Maunder, and was welcomed by the ex-president, the Rov. F. Copeland. Mr. J. N. Tietjens, of Hamilton, was elected vice-president for 1938, and the Rev. W. A. Burley, secretary. During the day the conference was engaged in committee work. The full conference will deal with general business to-morrow.
