SUNDAY GAMES
Sir,—The Auckland Presbytery is to be commended for voicing its protest against organised Sunday sport. We cannot afFord, especially in these perilous times, to t lose our priceless heritage of the Sabbath. If j'oung people are occupied during the Sabbath in playing games, they cannot at the same time avail themselves of the opportunity of acquiring this vital knowledge and experience. Certainly it is; necessary that the body and mind should have exercise and relaxation, but should it be at the expense of the spirit, which alone is eternal? Presbyterian.
