INDIAN VISIT POSTPONED
KING GEORGE'S DECISION AVOIDANCE OF EXPENSE British Wireless RUGBY, Feb. 10 The India Office announces that King George has communicated his decision not to visit India during the winter of 1938. "His Majesty feels that be would not be justified in imposing any additional burden on the existing revenues of India at a time when the calls on them in connection with the inauguration of provincial autonomy are already heavy," the communique states. The King expressed his regret, and announced his intention of visiting India as soon as circumstances permit.
