A proposal to replace the present grass banked cycling' traik at the Springdale Domain by a clay banked speedway similar to that, at the Morrinsville rccreatioh ground was supported at a meeting of the Springdale Sports Club. The report stated that'the annual sports meeting was a financial success, a profit of £OO being shown, compared with a loss of £3O the previous year.
