Road Conditions
ASSOCIATION'S representations
OHINEWAI LEVEL CROSSING Matters relating to highway conditions were discussed with the Main Highways Board representative in Auckland, Mr. F. S. Dyson, by a committee of the Automobile Association, Auckland, recently. Importing on the conference at this week's council meeting, the president, Mr. F. G. Farrell, said tliat Mr. Dyson's attitude toward motorists was most sympathetic. He felt sure that the many matters which the association officials had brought under Mr. Dyson's notice would receive prompt attention. One matter, said Mr. Farrell, winch users of the Great South Road would appreciate was the question of either removing or considerably improving the level crossing at the old Ohinewai Pumico Works. The present crossing occasioned a very severe bump and motorists would welcome an improvement at this point. Tho matter was being taken up with the Main Highways Board and the Railways Department.
