A lady visitor to the detective brings the canary with her, explains her own mysterious domestic affairs, and finally deposits the bird at a pets' store. Later she is charged with murder and Perry Mason solves the mystery, but why the'; canary receives so much emphasis in the tftle the reader must discover for himself.
