Mr. Haddon Alder ton found life in London too unromantic, and so, at the age of. fifteen, went to Saskatchewan. He then , roamed through Canada, getting any job he could, and in 1916 enlisted in the American cavalry. Among the places where he saw service were the Philippines, the Mexican border and France. After the Great War he returned to London and worked for a while in Smithfield. He then went t.o Australia, JS'ew Zealand, and back to QueenslandAfter that lie visited Singapore and China, ami thou became an osteopath in London —a' truly varied career. His utory is well and vigorously told and packed full of adventure.
