SMITH—LINCOLN A picturesque cream, blue and silver wedding was celebrated at St. James' Church on January 25 when Miss Phyllis Lincoln, youngest daughter of Mrs. Lincoln and tho lato Mr. Frank Lincoln, of Auckland, was married to Mr. James Massie Smith, elder son of Mr., and Mrs. J. Smith, of Mount Albert, lato of Aberdeen, Scotland. Tho Rev. W. Walker performed tho ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, wore a charming redingoto gown of ivory cobweb lace. Her frock was finished with tiny satin buttons from tho neck to the waist-line, the skirt flaring open to show a parchment satin underskirt. Long sleeves, tightly fitting, came to a point at the wrist, and an embroidered tulle veil was held in place by a pleated net halo and orange blossoms. A trail of cream cactus dahlias entwined with small silver bows was carried by the brido. The only bridesmaid, Miss Ona Harris, cousin of the brido, was dressed in pale blue stiffened net over blue satin. Cut on very full lines, it was made with large puff sleeves and carried round the skirt werf circles of blue velvet forget-me-nots and dainty silver bows. With her frock tho bridesmaid wore a blue and silver halo. A trail of blue hydrangeas and cornflowers entwined with silver bows was carried. Tho best man was Mr. John Smith, brother of the bridegroom, of Wellington. Acting as ushers at the church were Mr. C. Lincoln, brother of tho bride, and Mr. Noel Wood, a cousin.
Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held at the New Savoy, Karangahapo Road, where the room was attractively decorated with pale blue and autumn shaded flowers.
