QUEEN'S NEW COLOUR
BROWN NOW A FAVOURITE BLUES AND GREYS FORSAKEN A new colour has appeared in the royal realm of fashion. Queen Elizabeth has forsaken this winter the blues and greys which she so often wears during j;he cold season in favour of a brown marron. .
Her Majesty first wore a new ensemble'in this attractive shade at her mothers waifs and strays bazaar held in London during the Christmas season, and it was among the clothes which she 'took to Saodringham with her. The little hat to go with it fits snugly, with a point right in the centre of her forehead, and two tufts of feathery brown mounts to the front and the back of the hat. The Duchess of Gloucester is wearing a great, deal of blue in that attractive thade which is neither dark nor light and her hats are demure in style. With a coat and skirt of warm soft-textured blue cloth, she wore a harebell blue ■blouse with a line of frills at the front, and a becoming little straw hat with a flat bow right on top of the crownwhich was quaintly reminiscent of the bonnets which nurses wore a generation ago. The ensemble was most attractive.
