FUTURE OFFICERS
CADETS FOR DUNTROON DEPARTURE THIS MONTH COURSE OF FOUR YEARS fBY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Friday Four secondary school cadets to be sent by the Government to train at the Royal Military Collcgo of Australia, Duntroon, to qualify for commissions in the New Zealand regular forces, will leave Auckland for Sydney by the Awatea on February 2;}.
The cadets are: —R. Donaldson, a pupil of the Te Awamutu District High School, sou of Mr. G. Donaldson, of Allen's Road, Kihikihi; G. E. L. Dawson, a pupil of Rongotai College, Wellington, son of Sergeant-Major L. G. Dawson, at present stationed at Fort Dorset; L. F.,Brocker, a pupil of the Rotorua High School, son of Mr. S. C. Brooker, of Pererika Street, Rotorua; and R. G. A. Farnell, a pupil of New Plymouth Boys' High School, son of Mr. W. J. A. Farnell, of Waiwaka Terrace, New Plymouth. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. Jones, said to-day that the four boys would undergo a four years' course of training at Duntroon. They were of a fine stamp. During their high school careers each had established a high efficiency in their respective cadet corps.
