NO CHANGE IN MARKET

The tone of the investment market on the, Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday morning showed practically no change. A fair amount of business was transacted, with prices generally steady.

Bank of New Zealands registered a small improvement in two transactions, the final deal being completed a penny higher, but inquiry for other hanks was much the same. Support for insurance showed a tendency to increase, firmer offers coming forward for Nationals and South British. .New Zealands made a currentprice sale at 61s 9d. Some of tho leading Australian industrials also tended upward on better support. Sellers, however, were inclined to back off rather than come to terms.
