EIGHT BODIES RECOVERED SEARCH BY 300 AEROPLANES SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 3Eight bodies have been recovered following the collision which occurred in mid-air between two large naval bombers 70 miles from the shore at San Diego during manoeuvres. One of the four men that were rescued died on board a hospital ship.The bombers were leading massed ] fleet manoeuvres and the accident occurred . after dark, one machine plunging into the sea on fire and disappearing. The other broke up on striking the water. . , All the vessels in the vicinity turned on their searchlights and lowered boats, which took part in an all-night search for other possible survivors.
