The bill makes special provision for the general needs of the agricultural population. It is estimated that on the average cottages can be let, with aid of normal subsidy provided for in the new bill, at rents ranging from 6s to 7s a week —exclusive of a few ranging from 7s to 8s —and those for the agricultural population at rents ranging from 3s to 4s a week.
