Blind Actor Regatnß Sight A London actor, Mr. Neil Carr,. who had to give up his career through blindness, has regained the sight of one eye after an operation. It is hoped that a second operation will restore the sight of the other eye, and that he will be able to return to the stage. The operation was performed by a Harley Street specialist. Only a local anaesthetic was used. After the operation ho was blindfolded for a month. Xirsten JPlagstad's Concert 'Pour Kirsten Flagstad, a leading dramatic soprano and exponent of Wagnerian roles, who will shortly commence her Australian and New Zealand concert tour under the J. and N. Tait management/ will be accompanied to Australia by her husband, and she is also bringing her accompanist, a young American. "I have heard so much of the musical discrimination of Australian and New 'Zealand audiences that I am indeed honoured to be.visiting those countries," she told a newspaper interviewer in London. "I know that other singers share my opinion, she added. '
