THE FARMERS' UNION ! Northern Group.—A meeting of the northern group of the Waitemata provincial executive was held at Helensville. Mrs. R. Osbaldiston, of Kaukapakapa, presided. Among those present were Mrs. Noel Adams, president of the executive, and delegates from many branches of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union. Remits and notices of motion for the provincial executive meeting were discussed. Mrs. Adams spoke of the work of the organisation and the way in which it was working for women in the country in New Zealand. Kaukapakapa.—The first meeting of the year of the branch was held recently. Mrs. Henley presided. A guessing competition was held and a talk on poets and poetry was enjoyed, several members -reading poems. Hostesses were Mrs. Hildreth and Mrs. Gallagher.
