METHODIST MISSION WORK A sum of £11,568 was raised hi the Dominion during the past year for mission work in the Solomon Islands, according to the report presented at the annual meeting of the Methodist Mission Board. In addition £3139 was raised in the mission district. Students at tho medical school in Fiji, who had received their primary education in the mission schools, had all passed their first examinations with distinction, which pouted to tho potentialities of these intelligent people, the report stated. Their aim was to return to the islands and be ready to help their fellow-islanders in the maintenance of good health and moral stamina. The medical work on the mission field, which had been maintained during the last few years by Sister Edna 'White, was soon to bo more adequately staffed by Br. Jtutter and two nurses. That had been made possible bv generous support of the medical fund to the extent of about £IOOO during the past year.
