CAMBRIDGE CALEDONIANS

BURNS NIGHT CELEBRATED [from our own correspondent] CAMBRIDGE. Friday More than 200 people, including visitors from Hamilton, Matamata and Morrinsville, were present at the second annual Burns night, held in the Peace Memorial Hall by the Cainbridge Caledonian Society last night. The guest of honour was W. Shaw, of Auckland, who delivered an address on Itobcrt Burns. Traditional ceremony was observed at supper, with the piping in of the haggis by Piper Forbes and Mr. Jock Cameron. Vocal and instrumental items were provided by local and visiting artists and the newly-formed pipe band gave several selections.
