A "GROUND" HOSTESS

A new career for young women has been adopted by Miss Helen Lebenson, who has been appointed a "ground" hostess at Esscndon, Victoria, by Ansett Airways, Limited. Miss Lebenson, who is an American, arrived in Australia from Texas early last year, and began a course at the Melbourne University. After several weeks' training at Esscndon, Miss Lebenson entered on her new career in the city office of the Ansett company. From personal knowlodge of the work of ground hostesses associated with air line companies in the United States, she is familiar with the duties of her position, chief of which are to receive passengers and attend to their requirements before and after their journeys.
