CHARGE OF RECEIVING YOUTH PLEADS GUILTY A plea of guilty of knowingly receiving stolen property was entered by Donald Meredith Harvey before Mr. Justice Fair yesterday, but at the same time he denied charges of breaking and entering and theft. The charges were that on January 3 he broke into the shop of Thomas Robert Ballentine, watchmaker and jeweller, of Karangahape Road, and stole rings, bangles, brooches, a lady's watch and other jewellerv, and £5 in money, making a total value of £4l 15s; and that on January 5 he received stolen property to the value of £l2. > Mr. V. 11. Meredith, for the Crown, said he would accept the plea of guilty of receiving and not proceed with the other two charges. Mr. Sullivan,, for accused, said he was 19 vears of age and had come from Whangarei to the city for a holiday. He met two other men casually, and was led hy them into this affair. His Honor remanded Harvey for sentence to-day and directed that he be kept from association with the other two mentioned.
