ROWING SUPREMACY
CHAMPIONSHIPS AT SYDNEY (Received January 30, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, Jan. 30 At the New South Wales rowing championships, which were held on the Nepean River course, the championship eights race resulted in a win for North Shore by four lengths, from Pittwater, with Sydney third, three lengths astern. The time was 15m 56 2-ss. Pearce retained the heavy-weight sculling title, beating Stevenson by a quarter of a mile. Hoskins won the lightweight championship sculls for the fourth time, winning by six lengths from Hanlen and Williams. Haberfield won the lightweight champion fours by four lengths, from North Shore, and Sydney. i
