Record Sales in December
MOTOR TRADE'S GREAT YEAR
The number of new motor-cars registered in New Zealand in December, 1937, wag the largest ever recorded for any month, states The Radiator. 'lho previous record for December was in 1929, when 2746 new cars were registered. The previous record for any month was in September, 1937, the number being 2779. The returns for December, show that 2848 new cars were registered iu that month, breaking all previous records.
Sales of cars during 1937 were heavy ami steady throughout the year, totalling 29,943, an increase of 7154, or 31.3 per cent, over 1936, when fresh records were established.
