Cheerful Succulents
Easy to grow, a prolific bloomer and a lover of sunshine is apt description of the old-fashioned succulent perennial, Crassula eoccinea. The gay blossoms of scarlet make quite a patch of colour in a sunny spot, and even when the flowers are over, the ageing foliage becomes tinted with shades of red and brown, thus extending tlio season of beauty. As soon as the plants have finished flowonng, cuttings may be taken from shoots which have not flowered. These should be about three inches in lungth. Insert iirmly in pots or boxes of sandy soil, placing those out of doors in u semi-shaded position and keep only just moist. Like all succulents the crassulas are impatient of too-generous water supplies and this is even more important in the case of the cuttings.
